Course Narrative:
This was one of my favorite course in the semester. This course was focuses mainly on books by chicano authors. I personally love reading and while taking this class I read books I never thought I would read and turned out to be book that are now my favorites. We read work from Sandra Cinsneros, Reyna Grande, Lucha Corpi, and Myriam Gurba among others. A lot of the readings we did I some way was able to idenify myself with them. In class we had in class discussion that clarified certian questions in the text. The quizzes Dr. Gonzales would give us at the end of the reading were very helpful to me it would be like a resume of the reading. This course made me feel more connected to my roots.
